What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a hands-on health profession that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the spine, other bones, muscles, and the nervous system.

Chiropractors believe in finding and eliminating the cause of the pain, rather than simply treating the symptoms of pain.
Chiropractors implement drug-free, non-invasive, conservative treatments including the use of safe spinal manipulation, physical therapy modalities, preventative exercise programs and foot orthotics to treat a wide variety of conditions.

Who should see a chiropractor?
Chiropractic is safe for people of all ages. Whether you want to maintain your health, or need to address a specific health concern, ask your chiropractor which treatment or wellness program is best suited for you.

Will I have to continue my chiropractic treatments forever?

Absolutely not.  The choice is up to the individual and there is no pressure for anyone to become involved in a lengthy treatment plan. Some patients choose to continue chiropractic care as part of their total body health and wellness. Regular chiropractic adjustments are just part of a healthy lifestyle which includes adequate exercise, good nutrition, and a positive mental attitude.

What is a chiropractor’s training?
Chiropractors spend 4 years at an accredited chiropractic college, preceded by a minimum of three years of university courses in qualifying subjects. Graduates then must pass rigorous national and provincial licensing board examinations.

Is Chiropractic covered by OHIP or insurance?
Chiropractic is no longer covered by OHIP but most employees are covered under their Extended Health Care Benefits. The result, chiropractic is an affordable, accessible form of primary health care.
